Image Details:

Cygnus the Swan is full of interesting and bright targets, but directly North of it is a region of darker nebula blocking the glow of the Milky Way behind it. This region is roughly 24,000 light years distant and is a notable dark nebula for observation during the Summer. Nebulosity is visible through the region, to include part of the North American Nebula in the lower-right and the edge of IC 1396 in the upper-left.
