The “Chel Grett” Nebula | Sharpless 73
Image Details:
This is an area of Integrated Flux Nebula in the Hercules constellation, meaning it is a cloud of dust (in this case, one which is off the galactic plane by 45 degrees) which is illuminated by the combined light of the Milky Way. The title is of my own choosing, official databases simply refer to this as Sh2-173.
